our annual Field Trip

for a tour of the
Sterling Hill Mine and Museum!
Learn about the Sterling Hill Mine that is famous for its zinc ore and the only place in the world known for naturally occurring fluorescent minerals! This will be a two hour guided tour with a knowledgeable leader that will discuss the importance of mining for northeast New Jersey as you walk through the lamp room, the shaft station and the fluorescent minerals. Please wear comfortable shoes and a light jacket and plan on arriving at 10:15 am for the tour to begin at 10:30am. The cost is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, and $7 for children under 12.
