This document replaces the CD format mailed to members in 2004 as well as the 2004 online publication.

The revised document is available in PDF format only but sections are available in Word format to members only to facilitate the members' use of the document to adapt for their own use. The process to receive these files will be available in the members section on www.njasl.org. These sections include: NJASL/EMAnj School Library Curriculum Template, NJASL/EMAnj Core Curriculum Content Standards and School Library Scope and Sequence, Frameworks: New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards for Content of Instruction Integrated with Library Information Skills and Appendix J.

In its School Library Media Program , the New Jersey Association of School Librarians provides goals, objectives, templates, scope and sequence, and activities that show how library resources and information literacy skills are infused into all curriculum areas as advocated by Information Power. The matrix provides a quick overview of the interrelationship between the standards/components and performance indicators of the defined sections of the Core Curriculum Content Standards and the AASL Information Literacy Standards. As in the Content Standards, the School Library Instructional Goals provide an opportunity for cooperative learning. No one classroom can possibly contain all the resources needed to teach the students in that classroom. Even with the many advances in technology, a thorough education cannot be achieved through the use of a single tool.
