NJASL Spring General Membership Meeting

WORKSHOP PRESENTATION: Learning for Life....What do I do now? Learn how school media specialists can navigate their way through the maze of state, national, and international standards to provide a program that prepares students for lifelong learning, informed decision-making, love of reading and the use of information technologies. Nina Kemps and Amy Rominiecki, the New Jersey L4L State Coordinators, will focus on the implementation of the AASL's Standards for the 21st Century Learner and Empowering Learners: Guidelines for School Library Media Programs. They will discuss and explore practical skills required to work with various target audiences. The "Learning 4 Life" facilitators and attendees will discuss and explore the standards, building an assessment rubric, practical skills required to work target audiences and implementation scenarios that connect learners with ideas and information.
